Are you sick of Disneyland yet?

Those who read our blog may be sick of hearing about Disneyland...but Kamryn and I will never get sick of going there. I enjoy taking her by myself so we can then go on whatever rides we feel like and at our own leisure pace. We had an enjoyable time on the "horsies" (the carousel which we rode twice since it is Kamryn's most favorite ride) "Elephants" (dumbo), "cars" (Autopia) and watched the new Pixar Play Parade at California Adventure. To end off the trip we hit a few of the litte rides in Bugs Land. It was a great afternoon and I'm already looking forward to going again next Wednesday.

Do you like to reader?

If you haven't already gone insane checking numerous blogs multiple times a day to see if anyone has posted something new, might I suggest you use Google Reader. No more checking various blogs just to get disappointed. You can simply go to your iGoogle page, or into reader itself, and see who has updated their blog. This has cut down my blog perusing time tenfold. If anyone knows of a program that notifies you via email each time a blog is updated, let me know. Amy would rather get an email when blogs are updated, and Google Reader doesn't go that far.

Daddy/Daughter Photo Shoot

The title of this blog may be deceiving....you may be thinking that you are going to get some great professional shots of Jason and Kamryn. Well, you will be looking at some shots of them, but not professional. Since Kamryn has an obsession with the camera, Jason decided to actually try teaching her how to take a picture.

Oops, guess it was Daddy's turn to take a picture. :-)

It was just one of those CRAZY weeks!

After everything that went on this week, I'm surprised I even have the energy to sit down and share it with everyone. It began on Monday with watching my friends children and ended today (Sunday) after I fed the missionaries dinner. Let's start off with Kamryn's busy week of playdates. Take a deep breath and here we go. Monday I watched Eva and Lily (my friend, Jessica's children), Tuesday I took Kamryn to a playdate at the church with the Rambows, Lands, Livingstons, Carters, Silagyis, etc..., Wednesday I watched Eva and Lily again (Jessica had a busy week) and on Thursday my friend Stephanie and her son Diego came up to play. We almost had Kamryn playing with some children Friday too, but it didn't happen, to the relief of both myself and Kamryn. She did really well though and had a great time with all of her friends.

Here are some cute pictures I took of Kamryn with Eva and Lily!

The night times were a whole other issue. This picture below is all I have to show for a very fun and exhausting night. Tuesday night, Karissa and Ron Silagyi, Kyle Hartman and myself participated in a Disney Charity event called "Minnie's Moolit Madness. It consisted of a 50 question trivia quiz, which was tough and went quickly. The last half was a two hour scavenger hunt where we got to run around Disneyland literally attached at the hip with a bungee cord, solving the clues. The picture below of the milk carton was our first clue. We barely finished (with a minute left) and when we were done all we wanted was to get some water. It was exhuasting but so much fun and we all want to do it again next year. After some In-n-Out I got home and was in bed by 2am.

Thursday night we had a Girls night and again, didn't get to bed until 2am. You think I would have learned my lesson....but no. I just couldn't help myself. I love chatting with my girls. :-)

Friday night I attended a graduation for one of my childhood friends, Ashley Massimino. She just received her PhD!!!! I am so impressed with her dedication to her education. I had a great time seeing her and my other friend, BJ. It was fun to catch up and hang out. However, I didn't get home until 11:30, so I was probably in bed after midnight.

After attending the temple last night with our friends, the Lands and feeding the missionaries dinner tonight I can now just sit down and relax. Next week may be a little calmer, but I guess we'll see. Stay tuned...

What do I do with myself now?

Last night, one of my favorite shows ended...and on a very good note. David Archuleta fans....say "hello" to the new American Idol! David Cook won last night and it was an awesome moment! He sang the final song brilliantly and I loved how unselfish he was in his moment. He is a class act.

I guess it doesn't matter if I drink my V8

If you look closely, you will notice that my right hip is about a half an inch lower than my left. The reason? I have a gimpy leg. I now prefer to be called hip-hop. The solution? I now wear a 1/4 inch lift in my right shoe to balance myself out. Why did I go to the Chiropractor and get these x-rays? Let's just say I like to play golf, and I do swing fairly hard, and I think my overly aggressive swing finally caught up with me. At the driving range last week, I had hit about five balls when I got the most painful stabbing feeling in my lower right back and side just below my ribs. I'm still very tender in that area, and, needless to say, Golf is off the table for a bit. What makes it worse is that Amy just bought me a new driver for my birthday and I have had the chance to use it only one time, and now it will have to collect dust until I'm healed. What a waste.

The last picture shows why it is that I can crack my neck at will. Okay, I don't see it, but apparently a few of the vertebrae are too close together because my spine curves more than average as it goes up toward my very large noggin. Perhaps the weight of my huge brain is weighing down on my spine? That's my theory, and it could be easily argued, just look at the results of the big head competition on Rachel's blog.

Hittin' the beach again!

My friend Cynda and I took Kamryn to the beach last Friday and we had such a great time. Kamryn LOVES Cynda and they had a great time in the water and just hanging out. I feel blessed to have such a good friend in my life who loves my little girl. Can't wait to go again! Oh, and thanks Cynda, for allowing me to introduce you to some of the best Mexican food at Super Pollo. I knew you would love their Fish Quesadilla. Delicious!

Kamryn chillin' with her cousin :-)

My nephew, David, is a sweetheart! He has a very special relationship with Kamryn and just seeing them together brings a smile to my face. He is so good to her and she loves being with him. Jason was bummed because when he went to get the camera, David had his arm around Kamryn but when he finally took the picture they had changed their position. They are still cute though!

Kamryn's photographs

Kamryn has become quite the photographer...she personally enjoys taking random close-up pictures of herself.

Enjoy!

Dreams really do come true!

From our previous post, you might guess that Jason and I just celebrated our 4-year anniversary. Well, this year Jason really outdid himself. Its been a known fact that Jason has never, truly been able to surprise me. Somehow or other, I always know what we are going to do for birthdays, anniversaries, etc... Well, this year he was determined to surprise me and he did just that. Our anniversary was Thursday, but we celebrated on Friday. We dropped Kamryn off at my friend, Heather's house and we were off. (A huge thanks goes out to Heather for watching Kamryn for us from 10am to 10pm...and we apologize that you had to witness one of her classic tantrums...we owe you!) . Anyhow, Jason started by driving the most random way to Disneyland. He wanted to throw me off by taking the 10 to the 605 to the 5 and for those who know the area....that is not the most direct route. So, we get to Disneyland and he "calls Ron to sign us in." (Ron is our good friend who works at the Dland hotel and usually signs us in). So we go to allegedly meet him and once we get there, Jason then tells me we are not waiting for Ron and to wait while he gets our tickets at Guest Relations. At this point, I am still totally baffled. We get into the park and start going on rides and goofing around and having a blast on all the big kid rides.
Here I am on a segway. They were letting you ride these things at the "Innoventions" place in Tomorrowland. It was pretty cool.

Anyway, soon enough, the surprise is revealed...and I have one word and a number for you.

CLUB 33!!!!! Holy crap, I almost threw up. This has been a dream of mine for years now. For those who don't know, it is an exclusive Disneyland club that you can only get into if you know a member. Walt Disney used to entertain his friends here, so after he died they turned it into this fancy shmancy club. Jason has a friend at work, whose father is a member and he hooked us up. Jason has had this reservation for THREE MONTHS and I never knew until the day we got there. He done himself proud.

I was debating whether or not to post this picture because of how hideous I look in it, but I decided to post it anyway so you could all see the extreme giddiness that is plastered all over my goofy looking face. This is a picture of us riding up in the French lift (elevator).

Yes, I took a picture of my food....just so you could see the 33 on the plate. I ordered the Filet de Chateau briane (I probably just butchered the spelling on that) and Jason got the 5 course meal with the New York Strip Steak. This food was divine...and it better be for the pretty penny it cost us. I was not let down in the slightest with my experience here. Everything was so fancy, from the Evian water they poured us to our waiter whose name was Alistair. But as fancy as it was, everyone there was so nice and seemed down to earth.

They even offered to take pictures of us, without us even asking. It was truly a magical and romantic evening and I am so grateful to my husband for realizing one of my dreams and making it come true. You rock my world Jason!

4 years and counting...

It's been 4 wonderful years and we have an eternity to go.....

This one's for you babe!

I couldn't let the day go by without wishing my husband "Happy Birthday." He's 27 years young and he does his best to not rub it in my face that I will be 30 this year. Yes, 30. So, here's to my young'un of a husband. I love you babe!

Do you see why I married him? :-) Check out that profile. How did I get so lucky?

He so wishes he could have a car that looks like this. This toy version he couldn't even afford. I think that car was $50,000 (no joke). Jason definitely has expensive taste...which I hope benefits me in the long run. :-)

Just when I thought life couldn't get any better, Kamryn came along and Jason transformed into "Super Dad." He can't get enough of his little girl and she loves playing with her Daddy.

Jason loves the girls in his life and he makes sure to tell us every day how much he loves us. He is not afraid to share his feelings and I love that about him. He truly is the love of my life and I thank my Heavenly Father every day for blessing me with such an adoring husband and father. Babe, I hope you had a wonderful birthday!

My name is Amy Riley....and I have an addiction.

I have a problem. When I need to buy groceries, I sit down to write my list, but this isn't just any list. It is a bunch of lists. Then, after I make my lists I sit and wonder which grocery store I should visit first. Below are the stores I visit plus Stater Bros...which I couldn't find a logo to post here. Anyhow, at first it started off with just a few, but soon recommendations were made and I had to check out some others and now it is a smörgåsbord of grocery stores. At first, it was about finding the best place to buy cheap produce, or the best place to find healthy snacks for Kamryn or the best place to buy in bulk (that one is obvious)...but what it really comes down to is that I just enjoy going to different grocery stores. There is something refreshing about not walking down the same aisles everytime I go to the store. Each day I get to visit a different place. Okay, so I don't go to a grocery store every day, but some weeks I have found myself visiting 5 different grocery stores. Crazy you say? I bet I'm not the only one....just the only one who will admit it. I figure I'll eventually burn out....but for now, an addiction it is and an addiction it will stay!
