Celebrating a 30th in the 30's.

I definitely look washed out in this pic, but it shows the gist of my costume.
This is a pic of the birthday girl.  She turned 30 and we celebrated it by dressing up like we were from the 30's.  We had such a great time!

This was one of the funnest nights Jason and I have had in awhile.  Dancing, food, friends and lots of fun!

Crazy hair and cute pictures of Mar...yn. :)

My nephew's birthday is also in September and he had a "Crazy hair" themed birthday.  Here are the ladies with their silly hair.
Personally, I think Maryn was the winner. :)
I posted this picture because it is just DANG CUTE!!

The Bartletts are here!

So, we decided to hit the beach ONE LAST TIME before fall came, in celebration of the fact that our good friends, the Bartletts, had decided to grace us with their presence for a weekend.  They moved to Nebraska back in February and we missed them a lot.  So, we were so excited they were coming to visit and Jason said it was even worth going to the beach AGAIN!  We have been to the beach a record three (or was it four?) times this year.
We are so glad we went because we loved being able to hang out with all our Upland Crew.  There were a couple scary moments for us though.  Logan was pretty close to being swept away by a wave and the poor little guy also took a tumble down some cement stairs and got a decent bloody nose, but he came out of both  incidents without any serious injury and we were grateful for that.  It was so fun to see our friends and we can't wait for next summer when they will come visit us again, hopefully.

Please ignore how utterly white I look in this picture, especially next to all my tan friends.  Not cool!
This poor little girl had a slight reaction to sunscreen on her face, but it didn't stop her from enjoying herself. :)

Mommy's birthday (Age will not be disclosed).

So another birthday has come and gone.  This year we celebrated as a family at Farrells.  This place is crazy!  The decor is colorful and I love that it is an Ice Cream Parlour restaurant, but it is loud and they thrive on embarrassing anyone that dares enter.  I hate being sung to at restaurants and this one was the worst, but they did not make me get up and dance.  I was grateful for that since I had seen it happening around the restaurant.  But they bang on drums and announce to all they are singing to you and I could have done without all of that.  However, the kids loved it and they got cool balloons so it was worth it.

Farrell's....it was a fun experience but I will not be gracing your restaurant again for awhile.  :)

A Party to Remember

Kamryn has a sweet friend from school that invited her to her birthday party.  It was at a place called Olivia's Teahouse and it was a night to remember.  First, she was able to pick out a dress, shoes and accessories.  She loved doing that and I think she did a great job.

Then, she got to have her nails and makeup done.

Next, came her hair.

Here is the final product.  She looked so cute.

This is Kamryn with the birthday girl, Amanda.

They had a dress that was pretty similar to Kamryn's dress so my friend thought it would be fun if we took a picture together in our "matching" outfits.  Not tacky at all.  haha!

The girls got to do a fashion show for all the parents that were there.  This was Kamryns final pose.
After the fashion show, they sat down and enjoyed a little tea party.  It was a dream come true for this little princess. :)

Here are all the girls that were lucky enough to be apart of this birthday celebration.  It was awesome!

Labor Day Weekend!

Labor Day Weekend started off with me realizing that my baby girl was now almost 10 months and she was pulling herself up and starting to get into things.  Good times. :)

Looking back at these pictures I am feeling bad.  Before we hit the beach in the evening we spent Saturday of Labor Day weekend at my cousins house in Simi Valley at our annual Johnson Family Reunion.  This is my Dads side of the family, and this reunion is how we stay in touch with them so it is important to our family, but sadly I did not take any pictures.

After the reunion, we decided to hit up the beach.  We only stayed for an hour or so, but we still had a great time with my family!  :)

I caught this picture of Kamryn helping Logan write his letters.  (Morning of Labor Day)
I, again, did not do a good job of capturing Labor Day.  We spent the day at an old friends house in Orange County and we all had such a great time.  Jason bbqed ribs for the first time and made his own bbq sauce.  It was the hit of the day.  :)

Mommy/Son Date Night!

Chick-fil-a does a lot of things right, and one of those things are date nights.  I took Logan to a Mother/Son Date Night at the end of August and we had such a great time.  My friend Karissa came with her two boys too and it was such fun!  Logan got to make his own shield.  Then, we got to go on a Limo ride around the parking lot which was pretty cool.  They had a balloon guy there and some fun jumping apparatus'.  It was so fun to spend time with my little buddy!

August in a Nutshell!

I keep thinking I am going to retire the blog, but then I sit down and get the urge to post some pictures for my maybe 5 readers so I have decided I will try to get in the rest of this year and then I may just exclusively post pics on facebook or start a new blog.  Not sure.

Anyway, so August was the end of summer for Kamryn.  She started first grade!  Time is a flying.  Before school started we decided to hit up the beach one last time (or so we thought...went again in September).

Kamryn was extremely excited to be back in school.  I wonder what year in school that starts to change?  Anyway, for now I love her enthusiasm.

Kamryn with her friend Amanda.

Here are just a few cute shots of my 9 month old!

A rare shot of these two happy!  :)  Usually, Logan is terrorizing his little sister.
We also had one more baseball game.  Unfortunately, our two baseball games were not that fun to watch considering the fact that the Angels got worked, but we still had a fun time hanging out as a family.
