My friend, Karissa is one of those crafty girls, always wanting to learn new things and she spoils me many times with her creations. This time around she learned how to make a tutu. She made one for Kamryn and one for my sister's baby girl who is due to arrive any day now. So, I had to show some of the pictures we took of Kamryn in her tutu and of my friends baby boy who was a good sport and tried on the baby one for us. Classic!

"Sisters, Sisters, never were there such devoted sisters...."
One fun thing about my pregnancy this time around is that both my sister and I have been pregnant at the same time. We live about an hour away from each other so we try to get together as often as we can and we have been trying to help each other out as best we can. It's been fun sharing ultrasound stories, doctor visit stories, etc... Suzanne, my sister, is having a girl this time around (she has two boys currently) and I am having a boy this time around so we've been giving each other tips about how to deal with the opposite sex. Anyway, I was able to go to Suzanne's baby shower. It was really nice and she got tons of presents. It was nice to meet her friends and just relax and enjoy all the cute baby girl clothes and such that she got.
Just a side note, we did not purposely match...it just happened we wore the same color so there you go. And for those who have been waiting, here is a picture of my belly. Please note that Suzanne is 3 months ahead of me. :-) Oh, and isn't that cake awesome!!!!???

A Failed Attempt.
Kamryn has always been the child who catches on quickly to new things and does change pretty well. So, I naturally assumed that potty training would be challenging but nothing both her and I couldn't handle. I was wrong. After three days (and I know a lot of you are saying, only three days?? you gave up too quickly) I did revert back to the diaper. Why? Because I know my child and it was just not working. I could go into detail about what went wrong and how nothing went right, but my head hurts and I've talked it to death with whoever had the unfortunate luck to call me or be around me the last few days. So, we're retiring the panties for a later date and life can return to normal.

Back to the Happiest Place on Earth!
So, it's been awhile since Kamryn and I ventured out to Disneyland. With the holidays being so busy and me not feeling well, Disneyland was put on hold. But now it is back in full swing and I've already been twice this month. I went with my friend Stephanie and her son, Diego, during this trip and we had a great time! (I also ran into my Aunt Rhonda and my cousin Rachel and Rhonda bought me lunch. Thanks so much again!!)

New Year's Recap and Kamryn's lack of eating...
I will say for myself that I always have good intentions to take pictures when I go places...I take my camera with me pretty much everywhere I go. However, the bringing of the camera does not automatically mean that I will actually bring it out from the depths of my purse and use it. New Year's was one of those occasions where it never saw the light of day. Yet, I would still like to mention the evening for documenting purposes. We had a great time at my sister's house laughing hysterically while playing "Mad Gab!" We ate some of the best pork tamales I have ever had (which isn't many, but still props to these great tamales from LA that my bro.-in-law ordered). We rang in the New Year with New York for the kids and put them to bed and then enjoyed the rest of the evening with the adults playing games, eating great snacks and watching Dick Clark once again. He never quits, does he? Anyway, Happy Belated New Years everyone!
So, on to Kamryn's eating issues. It would look from this picture that she is actually doing quite well. Well, the week I took this picture I discovered the key to get Kamryn to eat other foods besides PB&J's and "patitas" (quesadillas or tortillas). I was making myself eggs one morning when I thought it would be fun to get Kamryn involved in the cooking process. She helped me stir and flavor the eggs and watched me cook them and when I was done, I asked her if she wanted to eat some and she said "yes." I held my breath as I put some in a bowl for her and almost started crying when she took her first bite and didn't spit it out. She went on to finish her bowl of eggs and ask for more. I was soooo excited. I made Sloppy Joe's the following evening for dinner and decided to get her involved once again. Hence, the picture you see. Kamryn eating her sloppy joe. I thought I had unlocked the world to Kamryn's eating habits...but it hasn't happened again. Jason attempted the same thing with Fettucine Alfredo and no luck, then I tried again with some other things and again no luck. So, I feel like we are back to square one. I'll still keep her involved with cooking because I think its important to spend that time with her and its educational...however, I need more tricks. Any ideas from you parents out there who have kids who actually eat there dinner? I could use some before I completely lose my sanity.

Life without the Internet feels like no life at all...
For almost a week now, Jason and I have lived without the internet at home. Our Land Line is connected through the internet, so we had no land line for a week. I never realized just how much of my life is revolved around the internet until we lost it for so long. I couldn't pay bills, balance my checkbook, check my email, download pictures and update my blog, find phone numbers (yes, I forgot that I do have a paper telephone directory....but seriously, who uses those anymore?), shop online (which I don't do often but I hated not having the option), check the news stories, etc.... Anyway, I felt soo out of the loop.
Today, our internet has been fixed and I can't seem to pull myself away from the computer. So, what have I learned? I need to find a balance. While we didn't have the internet, I'm sure i played more with Kamryn and took her out more, I read my book more, I kept up on house chores, I used my cell phone more to contact people instead of just using email or facebook and I'm sure there are other things. So, now that I have the internet back...it's time to balance my time wisely.
But man, I'm sooo glad to have a part of my life back. I just need to make sure I keep it only "a part." :-)

A few more pictures of the Christmas Trip!
I just wanted to post a few of the pictures we took while in Utah for Christmas. Both Jason and I have done a poor job at remembering to take pictures at all the family gatherings, so we don't have many, but there are a few I wanted to share.
Seriously, can you get any cuter than that? I know I'm biased, but this little girl is beautiful.
This was Kamryn's first reaction after playing in the snow for about 5 minutes. Good thing I bought her snow boots.
My niece, Kristin, her husband, Zach and their beautiful baby girl, Kailey (sorry, might have gotten that spelling wrong). It was good to be able to spend some time with some of my family on Christmas day. And yes, I am a great Aunt...twice over.
A bunch of our nieces and nephews from Jason's side of the family.
Father and sons gettin' crazy on the Wii. We were so glad to spend Christmas with Jason's parents ,to see so much family and have ourselves a true "White Christmas." I admit, I'm not much of a fan when it comes to the white stuff but it definitely makes Christmas a little more magical.

Christmas Presents! Quality reactions from Kamryn
Who knew kids could get so excited over gifts that they don't even recognize. Notice Kamryn is overly excited about these gifts and yet does not know what they are until we tell her. Except for the baby doll. Classic.

Wild, Wild West!
Jason and I were invited to celebrate our friend, Jenn Broderick's, 30th Birthday a couple weeks ago. This wasn't any normal, run of the mill birthday party, however. This was a Mystery Dinner Party and the theme was a Poker Tournament held in the good 'ole Wild West. So Jason and I were assigned to play certain characters and it was asked that you get dressed up. So, we did along with everyone else who came to the party and a great time was had by all. The food was delicious and the company was fun, even if we were discussing a murder (Jason was the victim).
So, thanks to the Hartmans and Tyson who hosted the party! We had such an awesome time, and thanks to Karissa for watching Kamryn for us that night! We are blessed with such rad friends. (I've really been into that word lately).
I got Jason a fake cigar....I think he enjoyed it too much. :-)
The Sheriff with the businessman (who ended up dead).
The birthday girl with her bartender husband, Tyson.
An outlaw with his woman....who used to be someone else's woman, etc.....
The hosts of the party who let us use their home.

Picking the perfect Tree
Every year, Jason and I debate about whether we should get a fake tree or get us another real tree and so far, the real tree has one out every time. I'm assuming it will keep winning each year until maybe we're older and the kids are gone from the house....we have a ways to go with that.
We just can't get enough of that fresh pine scent and the fun we have going to a lot and picking out the "perfect tree." Kamryn enjoys it too!

Zee greatest zinger in da world!!!!!
Thanks to my husband Jason (and a little guilt tripping by his wife) I was able to attend the Celine Dion concert the first week of December. This has been a dream of mine for a long time. I always thought that I would see her concert in Vegas but time flew by and that never happened. So, when I found out she was going on tour I knew it had to be now and never. So, it was now! Of course, Jason is not the hugest Celine Dion fan which is understandable considering her music is mostly love ballads and such so I was able to take a friend with me. Karissa had recently taken me to see "Wicked" so I thought I would return the favor. She is a huge Celine Dion fan like myself so we had a great time together!
Here is a video of her singing her new hit, "Taking Chances," just in case anyone cares to listen to one of the greatest singing voices of our time. :-) Enjoy! Oh, and please forgive the video movement. I couldn't help but move with the beat.

Thankful for Thanksgiving!
I figured most of you were tired of looking at ultrasound pictures being that most of them look more like an alien than a baby. So, I'm finally gettin' around to posting some Thanksgiving pictures. We spent it in Arizona with my brother Jeremy and his family, my brother Aaron and his wife Whitney, and my Mom. We had such a fantastic time. I am blessed with sister in laws who can really cook. :-)
Our wonderful hosts! Thanks Jeremy and Mary for hosting such a wonderful weekend!
Aaron and Whitney intently working on baking a scrumptious Apple Pie. Seriously, one of the best I've ever had.
Some of us gathered at the beautifully decorated table. Such good eats too!
Kamryn has slept through her past two Thanksgivings. She pretty much slept through this one also but was able to join us right at the end. Of course, she wouldn't try anything.

What almost was, but wasn't
So here is Kamryn all puppy-like about a week or so before Halloween. Don't be fooled, as I believe Amy explained, this did not happen on Halloween. What a fight she put up, and, yes, she was the victor, Amy and I, the losers. Anyway, for your viewing pleasure, here is evidence that Kamryn was fully prepared to be a puppy for Halloween, and that I, Jason, called it. Glad we kept the tag on and were able to take it back.

Overview of October
You know, I never thought I would be one of those people who was always trying to play catch up on their blogs. I liked that I was never more than a week behind on the blog. But this pregnancy has thrown me for a loop and I can't seem to catch back up. I'm 18 weeks and still feel sick so either I'm having a boy (because I was done being sick by now with Kamryn) or I'm having another girl who loves to play mean tricks on me. I'll find out next Tuesday so I'll keep you all posted.
Anyway, being that I was feeling crappy in October, I didn't take a lot of pictures when I was able to get out of the house so I figured I could do the month of October in one post. That'll catch me up quicker.
RILEY'S FARM
We did take our traditional trip to Rileys Farm to pick out our pumpkins. We went with our friends, the Hartmans and the Silagyis. Here are some pictures of some of the kids.
Colin and Kamryn walking together, holding hands. Seriously Cute!
HANGIN' WITH FRIENDS AT DON JOSE!!!!
MY BROTHER, HUSBAND, and BROTHER IN LAW.....MODELS FOR OLD NAVY!
PUMPKIN CARVING TIME!
You may be wondering where her costume pictures are....she's 2. Wonder no more. Her? Wear a costume? However, when Jason gets back from San Diego I'll have him post the video we have of her in her puppy costume...she only wore it at home for us once and never again.
