My brother turned the big 28 today so I just wanted to send him a shout out from his big sister. He's getting married on June 18th...needless to say, I'm very excited for him. He picked a good girl. Here is a picture of him and Whitney.
Here are some pictures of "uncle" with Kamryn. For some reason, Aaron is only known as "uncle" and nothing else. It's Uncle Jeremy and Uncle John, but Aaron is just plain "uncle." The more I type that word, the weirder it starts to look.
But back to Aaron, I am grateful I had him growing up...we made some great memories together. He may try to deny it, but he was the best at playing house with the Teddy Bears...and he was one of the few who could take me on the blue barrels. He made growing up fun! Love you little bro!

fun in the sun
We took a trip to the beach with some friends on Saturday and it was bliss. We even found parking right when we arrived, which was the exact opposite of what happened last time we went to the beach (don't ask). Notice in the pictures that at one point, Kamryn ran toward the waves before Amy could catch up and she got rolled by a tiny wave; hence, the shots of her hair covered in sand. Kamryn wouldn't took a nap at the beach, but when we left at about 5 pm she couldn't stay awake for the walk to the car and was out until we got some food at the Hat back in Upland. We go to the Hat about once a year due to the fact that the food can stop your heart if consumed more than once a year, but I highly recommend the pastrami burger. It is so choice. We were at the beach for about 7 hours and luckily, Amy and I were the only ones who got burned at all. Kamryn fared well over all and we had a good time with all of our friends (and there were a lot of us there!)

Disneyland again Mommy???
Disneyland again and many more times now because Mommy has a pass!! After some persuasion from my friend Kathy and a story told by Thomas S. Monson (read this months Ensign) I decided to use my Disney reward points (earned by my Visa) to get a Disneyland pass. Jason still doesn't have one, but lucky for us, if he ever does have time to go we have some friends who can get him in free. Anyhow, I was so glad I did it because we had a great time last Thursday and we can't wait to go again next week. :-) Thanks Kathy and Gaye for a wonderful time!

Why get mad??
After an hour of time-0ut hell a few days ago with Kamryn and finally getting her to say "sorry" and behave properly, we let her loose to go play. Well, after a few minutes we realized it was all too quiet in the apartment. Jason went to investigate, but I was enjoying the silence so much I just didn't feel up to seeing what Kamryn was getting herself into. When Jason called me, the tone of his voice made me think it mustn't be good. I walked into our bedroom, which I swore I had shut the door but obviously not, and saw Kamryn with a bunch of my makeup on the ground and a lot of lipstick on her face. I was just too tired to be mad that she had ruined my favorite lipstick and instead told Jason to get the camera...I mean, how many books or shows are there that show the kid getting into Mom's makeup. So, I laughed, took a picture and then told Kamryn that we shouldn't play with my makeup. Then she got a nice bath and went to sleep. Evening over....

Kamryn and Kameryn
My good friend Paige and I were pregnant at the same time with girls. We hadn't seen each other in a way and towards the end of our pregnancies we were talking on the phone about what we were going to name our future daughters. We were both shocked and dismayed that we had chosen the exact same name without ever discussing this earlier ever. But we both decided we would go ahead with the names we chosen because we both felt really strongly about them. So, now we both have a Kamryn...with the only difference being that Paige's daughter has an "e" thrown in hers. I think our daughters get confused sometimes but when they get older, they'll figure it out. So, here are some pictures of the two Kamryn's at Paige's beautiful home in Laguna Niguel.

Happy, Happy Birthday Suzanne Dear....
It is time to celebrate a siblings birthday once again. This time, it's my older sister Suzanne whose special day is today, April 18th. As you can see from the pictures, she is the prettier one. :-) She will probably get mad at me for saying that, but I just mean that she is beautiful, and not just on the outside. Everytime I'm with her, I'm inspired to be better...be healthier, happier, more spiritually in tune...I just can't say enough good things about her.
Here we are together at my baby shower. It meant a lot to me that she was there, especially since my Mom was in Utah and unable to make it.
Here she is holding Kamryn a week or so after she was born. She is a wonderful aunt.
Here we are at her house for Thanksgiving. She is also an amazing cook.
My sister and I have become extremely close, especially since I've been married and how grateful I am for her friendship. I love you Suzanne and hope you have a fabulous birthday. I'll take you out to celebrate soon!

Rocks and A Box!
So, I've come to a decision and that is I no longer need to purchase overpriced toys for my daughter. She has had more fun playing with rocks in a sink full of water and riding in a box with Daddy as driver. This is good for all of you out there who may attend birthday parties for her in the future. Just pick a rock up from the ground or grab a box from behind a store, and voila, you have the best present my daughter could ask for.

We are so proud of Aunt Kristyn!
We were so excited last week when Kristyn's book, "Cool Daddy Rat," was delivered to our door. Jason's sister, Kristyn, is a newly published children's book author and let me tell you....she is gifted. Her first published book is so cute and fun to read. Jason had a very special moment reading the book to Kamryn. Here are some pictures and even a video of Jason reading part of this jazzy story. :-) Kristyn....you are so talented and we can't WAIT to get your next book this summer, "Bedtime at the Swamp."

Kamryn's First Kiss
I know what you're thinking...she's not even two yet. Kissing boys already? Well, it was too cute for words. I was watching my friends son, Jaxson, and I told Kamryn to give Jaxson a hug. Well, she went in for the hug, but Jaxson went in for the kiss. After that kiss, she wouldn't let poor Jaxson alone. She was all smiles and just thought he was so much fun. Poor Jaxson may regret that kiss now. :-)

Walking in her Mommy's footsteps!
Kamryn has a new "thing." She enjoys walking around in Mommy and Daddy's shoes. These pictures are of her in my shoes and considering how small her feet are and how large mine are she does pretty well in them.
Here she is truly following in my footsteps. We were over at the Bartletts last week and Clint took out his guitar and started playing. Wow, did Kamryn ever love that. She was dancing to his music and strumming on the guitar with him. (By the way, for those of you who know Clint...he is a great singer. Very Jack Johnsonesque) All of a sudden, I felt like an idiot. I had a wonderful guitar, given to me by my parents, just sitting at home dying to be played again. Kamryn has never heard my play the guitar because I have been a loser and not touched since I got pregnant...if not longer. So, thanks to Clint for inspiring me to bring the guitar out once again. Its something I can share with my daughter and its a talent I've been putting on the back burner for way too long. So, here's to starting it up again. Lets hope I can keep it up because it is something I have really missed doing. :-)

Could you imagine?
Click here to read the article. I'm assuming this was an April Fools Joke...but I still had to share. Could you imagine Snoop joining the Mormon Tabernacle Choir?
